“My husband and I are staying at the Hampton Inn Portsmouth, and we both agree this is one of the best hotels we've stayed in! We arrived just minutes before the manager's reception which takes place every evening. The hotel staff is extremely friendly and helpful, too. It’s nice to walk into a hotel and feel genuinely welcome. We will absolutely stay here again and recommend to friends and family!“

“We've traveled to many hotels this year. However, the Hampton Inn Portsmouth is the best place we've ever stayed. The entire staff welcomed my family to include our dog. We just moved to the area and felt a bit lost. The Hampton Inn staff helped our family find places, discussed and listened to our concerns. Heather from housekeeping is the most outgoing and professional person I've ever met. The time spent here was a friendly family orrientated place. The manager Vic, is very personable and really gives that welcome feeling. Thanks for a wonderful stay!“

“We stayed here for four days and it was the best experience. Vic Patel, the general manager, could not have been more accomodating. Cathy Tingley gave us some helpful tips to explore the area and Peter Ward was a wealth of information as far as restaurants and places to go to. The hot breakfast was great as well as the free cocktail hour with either appetizers or soup. When we got back in the evening, we were greeted to warm cookies. The room was clean and very comfortable beds. This is one of the best Hampton Inns I have been to.

“I give this particular Hampton Inn 5 stars .It was immaculate. We took our well mannered Lab with us and enjoyed a wonderful weekend. Breakfast which is FREE was excellent as was the service.
There is so much to do in Portsmouth and to come back to a wonderful room with the best bed and pillows is a plus.“

“We had been driving for close to 8 hours and just wanted a place to crash. We love Hampton Inns because you know they'll be clean, friendly, modern, and there are waffles!! I was a little surprise to pay $150/night (might have been the most expensive one we've stayed in) but we felt it was worth it. I knew they didn't have many rooms left, so I didn't try to haggle. It seems like a good location if you're shopping and such, as well.“

“We booked 34 rooms for my military group returning from overseas deployment. In addition to the regular happy hour amenities they had a big "Welcome Home" cake, balloons and pizza for us! Awesome gesture on their part and very much appreciated by the troops. Very nice, clean room with comfortable bed too. Great property!“

“I must say that I have stayed at this Hampton Inn before and once again it was such a wonderful experience. I especially enjoyed the Breakfast every morning and not only the Breakfast, but the Staff on hand each morning we had Breakfast. His name tag said Larry....I never saw anyone care as much for the visitors making sure everything was stocked, neat and clean. I was exhausted just watching him -- the coffee pots were refilled, the food, the plates, the cups the condiments. We honestly watched in amazement and felt that he truly enjoyed his job and was going above and beyond to make sure the guests were able to enjoy their Breakfast with no complications. If I owed a Hotel or Restaurant, he would be the first one I would hire.....and to be in charge of the entire Staff....Thanks so much for a wonderful time and Larry......“

“The rooms are very clean, nicely furnished and quiet. The staff is great. I asked for directions of a restaurant and they immediately gave $30 worth of coupons..came right of the bill. (lobster place in Maine)
They have a free shuttle service going right into Portsmouth (few minutes away), and that beats paying a lot for parking.
The kids loved the pool and hot tub. The hot cookies, the fruit , coffee, breakfast was great.
The tv was a total pain to figure out- even my techy kids had problems here. But then, we didn't have that much time to sit and watch.
The hotel is right near a lot of chain stores, so if you forget something, you can walk over and get anything. Very close to the beaches, but you'll have to drive.“

“My husband and I stayed here for a weekend along with many friends and family for a wedding that was held a few miles away. The staff could not have been more accomodating for all of us that weekend. When we were at the hotel we truly felt at home. We stayed in a room with a king sized bed and the room was extremely spacious, including the bathroom. The bed was so comfortable I never wanted to get out of it!
I love staying in Hampton Inns and this one really delivered!“
